Guide To This Summer's UK Festivals

The festival season has officially begun, cue the mud clad millennials with their flowers and glitter tattoos. If you aren’t lucky enough to be attending a festival this year, or maybe it’s not your thing, then at least you can watch all of the acts from the comfort of your sofa at home. Here are the top festivals to keep your eye out for and what headliners you can expect to see. We have also thrown in a few style options for you!

 

Glastonbury 21st – 25th June

 

Location: Worthy Farm Pilton in Shepton Mallett

 

The ultimate UK festival…Glastonbury is world renowned for its legendary acts and festival culture that comes with it. This year you can expect to see acts such as Radiohead, Foo fighters, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry, Biffy Clyro and many more.

What to wear...

Glastonbury is a very hipster and cool festival so something like the Twiggs T-shirt would help you fit right in.

Wireless 7th – 9th July

 

Location: Finsbury Park in London

This is a great family festival hidden away in Suffolk that puts on an enchanting and mystical event. This year has an amazing line-up including The 1975, Mumford & Sons, Jack Garratt and Fatboy Slim.

V Festival – 19th – 20th August

 

Location: Weston Park in Staffordshire

 

Probably one of the most commercial festivals and well organized as it happens in dual locations. The line-ups never fail to disappoint and combines the best artists in pop and rock. This year's star studded line-up features Pink, Jay Z, Rudimental and Ellie Goulding.

What to wear...

Reading and Leeds – 25th – 27th August

 

Location: Richfield Avenue Festival Site in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds

 

Reading Festival boasts an ever impressive line up of punk, rock, alternative, indie, dance and electro music. The festival has a habit of attracting some of the biggest global superstars, and hottest new bands. This year make sure you don’t miss top acts including Kasabian, Eminem, Muse and Liam Gallagher

What to wear...

Reading and Leeds festival is very indie cool so a plain black t-shirt will add an edge to your look. Ever better, black doesn't show up drink stains or mud.

Bestival - 7th – 10th September

 

Location: The Lulworth Estate in East Lulworth

 

With a brand new location this year, it is set to be the best Bestival yet. They are entering a new chapter of light and sound, exploring the wonders of colour on a mission to increase the peace this September. Top acts The XX and The Pet Shop Boys are the main headliners of the festival along with a whole host of other cool acts.

What to wear...

Bestival is a much more colourful festival so let your creativity show with the Binks floral tee.
